IPSY Glam Bag is a monthly subscription of makeup, skincare, and hair care products. Items usually come in travel- or sample-sizes, although full-size products occasionally get included. It also comes with a cute makeup bag every month!
This box is for… trying out new products and stocking up on makeup essentials.
Cost: $12 per month or $132 per year.
FIRST IMPRESSION
Such a pretty bag! I’m actually happy this didn’t come with a tassel like the other two bags this month. I feel like it can withstand a little more tossing around than the others.

ON TO THE ITEMS!
SLMISSGLAM SS57 Brush
Size: 1 brush

This is my favorite product in the bag, and, if I’m being completely honest, this is my current favorite blending brush, period. It just blends my eyeshadow so well! The brush head is full – not too stiff, and not flimsy. Just perfect! The design on the handle is a little over-the-top for me, but I can live with it!
NAILS.INC NAIL POLISH Nail Polish in Lilac Grove

I received a more subdued purple polish in the April bag, so I was happy to get this brighter color this time around. I’m really satisfied with this formula! It’s a thicker polish which evens out before it dries, so even my clumsy fingers don’t ruin the application. It also pairs well with the pink polish I received in the Glam Bag Ultimate, so I’ve been wearing them together for a cute albeit amateurish design.
SPACE CASE COSMETICS Eyeshadow in Intense Stargasm
Size: 1.5 g

This might be too silvery for my skin. I have warm undertones, so golds usually look better on me than silvers. With that said, I do love the shimmer of this pan. The swatch above was done with several passes using a tapered blending brush, but I think with a fuller brush and a light hand, I can get away with using this on my cheeks for a nighttime look with a little more “oomph”!
JEJU:EN Aloe Gel Sleeping Mask

I couldn’t find much information about this brand; I think it’s because this brand is made in Korea and does not yet have a strong presence in the US. They have a website, but it looks like you can’t really buy this product directly from them. I also didn’t find their products in any online beauty store. Unfortunately, I can’t give you the price of the full-size item.
I can’t say I’m a fan of this sleeping mask. A few minutes after putting it on, my skin feels tight and dry. Too bad, really, because it smells so good and fresh – like putting a salad on my face, but in a good way. I think this scent is what Sunday Riley was going for in their Martian water-gel toner from a previous Glam Bag Plus.
TARTE SEA Jelly Glaze Anytime Lip Mask in Strawberry Jelly

This tube is so tiny that it actually got lost in the corner of the makeup bag! At first, I was upset that IPSY sent out such a small product, but after trying it out…I’m kind of glad my conscience isn’t on the hook for having to use up a lot of this product. I usually like tarte products, but I didn’t take to this one at all. As a lip mask, it’s OK, but the smell reminds me of children’s medicine. (Ick!) I couldn’t keep it on for very long.
FINAL IMPRESSION
The Glam Bag May 2020 was a bit all over the place. I found this brush that I can no longer live without and a fool-proof nail polish that I’ve been using almost exclusively since I got it. But the rest of the bag is a bit “meh” to me.

At $12 per bag, it’s like I paid $2.40 per item. I feel like I would pay this price for only 3 of the items.
