IPSY Glam Bag is a monthly subscription of makeup, skincare, and hair care products. Items usually come in travel- or sample-sizes, although full-size products occasionally get included. It also comes with a cute makeup bag every month!
IPSY offers three subscription bags:
- Glam Bag ($12/month): 5 products, usually travel- or sample-sizes
- Glam Bag Plus ($25/month): 5 products, full-sized products
- Glam Bag Ultimate ($50/month): 8 full-sized products and 4 deluxe-sized products
Each bag is personalized according to each person’s beauty profile, so you may have received different items than the ones I got.

Cost: $12 per month or $132 per year
FIRST IMPRESSION
This was an extra-special month for IPSY – this is their 100th Glam Bag! They celebrated by sending subscribers an additional product for free, which is fantastic customer service.
I like this bag more than I thought I would. I don’t usually go for studs (aside from my partner *ba dum chhh*), but this design wasn’t over-the-top.
I currently have an obsession with neon green accents, so I really love the zipper detail!
ON TO THE ITEMS!
Let’s check out the makeup items first!
I got full-size items this month!
NAKED COSMETICS Mica Pigment in Blushing Bronze #06
Size: 3 g
RV: $14.99
This all-natural product packs a punch! Its dark brown pigment is present. After only a couple of swipes with a brush, I didn’t even need eyeliner. This product also boasts a formula free of talc, mineral oil, waxes, and fillers, so you can feel good about putting it on, too. The drawback to the formula, however, is that it applies pretty loose with a brush. It’s the heaviest fallout I’ve ever experienced with eyeshadow! It’s a really pretty color, though, so I’m sure I’ll use it again…but only with plenty of primer!
BELLE EN ARGENT Lip Luire Gloss in Jealous of Us
Size: 6.4 g
RV: $18
This full-size lip gloss is an orangey peach color that is ready for spring! When I put it on, I feel the urge to don a sundress and attend a garden party. It’s unfortunate, then, that A) we’re still on lockdown, and B) I don’t have the kind of social circle that would throw a garden party, but at least I get feels from this gloss.
That being said, I’m not completely enamored with it. The gloss feels thick on my lips, and the gold shimmer feels a bit “young” for me.
Here are the deluxe-size items:
SHAINA B MIAMI Blush in Bellini
Size: 3 g (Full size: 6-shade palette)
RV: $4.83 (Full size: $29.00)
This shade is a lot more peachy than it looks in the photos. It actually looks gorgeous in the pan. It’s a buildable type of blush. My skin is a light tan with golden undertones, but I still needed to brush it on several times before I could see any of it on my face.
In this swatch, I applied it several times with a brush. You can hardly tell it’s there! This blush might work better for those who are fairer. It could also be wonderful for those no-makeup makeup days.
As for skincare items, I received:
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE Superfood Cleanser
Size: 0.5 fl oz (Full size: 8 oz)
RV: $2.25 (Full size: $36)
I’m in love with this cleanser! I don’t know if it’s the placebo effect from the packaging or the light green formula or the fresh scent, but after using it, I just felt so good. Like an “I ate a salad instead of a burger” kind of good. It is made with spinach, kale, and green tea, so it could also be the effect of all those healthy ingredients. If I wasn’t currently drowning in cleansers, I would buy the full-size version of this today.
HEY HONEY Relax! Propolis & Honey Soothing Moisturizer
Size: 15 ml (Full size: 70 ml)
RV: $9 (Full size: $42)
Like all Hey Honey products I’ve tried, I was quite satisfied with this one. It’s creamy, dries without feeling tacky, and leaves my skin hydrated. This has propolis and honey, which are ingredients that my skin loves. When my skin needs extra love, I always reach for products with those ingredients to soothe my skin. My go-to essence during cold weather is Skin Food Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Essence, and this moisturizer pairs well with it!
I also received a beauty tool this month, which is always awesome!
LUXIE 640 Pro Precision Tapered Brush in Periwinkle Blue
RV: $24
This brush has a shelfie-worthy periwinkle blue handle. The bristles are luxurious and soft – so soft, though, that I had a hard time picking up any product with it. I’m not sure it lives up to its “precision” name, but I think it does a decent job of blending products that are already on the skin.
FINAL IMPRESSION
This was such an awesome bag! I got a great mix of makeup and skincare products, and I even got a Luxie brush. Yay!
