FIRST IMPRESSION
I was super excited to open this box. The spoilers were so good! I joined as a seasonal member, so I had no idea which choices Causebox sent me. I love a good mystery!
I was not disappointed when I opened the box. I would have been happy with any of the spoilers, but I received almost all of what I had wanted. Score!
ON TO THE ITEMS!
Glass Ladder & Co. Megan Portfolio Clutch in Black
RV: $120
This is one of the items I had hoped to get. I’ve been wanting this clutch since Causebox introduced it in Spring 2019. It’s both gorgeous and functional! It can fit an iPad or a notebook, as well as pens and cards and sticky notes. I had been planning on keeping this for myself, but I know someone who goes to more meetings and conferences than I do, so I think it would make the perfect gift for her!
Other Choice:
Glass Ladder & Co. Megan Portfolio Clutch in Burgandy ($120)
Imani Collective Woven Throw Blanket in Cream or Slate ($120)
Whitney Kerney Set of 2 Mugs
RV: $35
These are probably my favorite things in the box. To be frank, when I saw these, I was like, “OK, mugs. Useful, but not very exciting.” Boy, was I wrong! I’ve been using at least one of these every day since I got them, and I love them more and more each day! They have a gorgeous, unique design. They’ve got a good weight to them, too – you can feel their good quality. And they hold a lot of coffee. What more can you ask for in a mug???
Other Choice:
La Lueur Candles Black Currant Vetiver Candle ($35)
Samara Luxe Jewelry Box
RV: $42
I don’t wear a lot of jewelry, but I do have a few pieces that I keep in random old (subscription) boxes. I was happy to finally have a jewelry box! This one is small enough to travel with – secure, too, because of the zipper!
This is made with vegan leather, and it has a great feel and texture. I just love the color; it looks sophisticated (much more so than my recycled old boxes!).
Other Choice:
La Beaute Soi 10-Piece Makeup Brush Collection ($24)
Scentuals Anti-aging Facial Serum
Size: 30 mL
RV: $44
This is a 100% natural, lightweight serum with a very light, almost non-existent floral scent, so it’s perfect for those who are sensitive to strong smells. It has to be shaken before use; otherwise, it can come out really oily! When shaken properly, it’s got a thicker texture, although it’s more liquidy than my current serum. It takes a minute to absorb into my skin, but once it does, there’s no residue. I’m still working through a different bottle of serum, so I gave this to my boyfriend in a (possibly futile) attempt to get him to have a skincare routine!
Other Choice:
Vitiv Daily Hair Vitamin ($30)
Soko Petite Bow Earrings in Gold
RV: $42
This is a wonderful addition to my little jewelry collection. They look edgy and on-trend, but not over-the-top. I think they’ll look at home with almost any outfit! I also love that these are handmade by artisans in Kenya! “Handmade” ups the value for me. I so appreciate that there was someone out there who used their time and skills to make this beautiful piece of jewelry.
Other Choice:
Soko Petite Bow Earrings in Silver
Wyld French Pink Clay Konjac Sponge
RV: $16.90
This exfoliating sponge is made from plant root and French pink clay. The packaging looks gorgeous, and the sponge itself is adorable. Thanks to subscription boxes, I have a lot exfoliators and scrubs to go through. But because this looks so pretty, I think it will make a perfect gift for someone!
Simply Straws Rose Gold Straw Kit
RV: $24
This is my second-favorite item in this box, which totally took me by surprise! There is no shortage of reusable straws in my house, so I thought I wouldn’t get much use out of this. Again, I was wrong! These are perfect for me! My other straws are made of silicone, but this one is made of 18/8 grade stainless steel. This means I can use them as stirrers for my ice coffee or Thai iced tea, which cuts down on things to wash. Plus, with their rose gold finish, they look fab!
FINAL IMPRESSION
I’m in love with everything in this box! This was my first box from Causebox, and I was so impressed with the variety in this box and the quality of the items. I’m so excited for my next shipment!
