FIRST IMPRESSION

This box was hefty! I’m a simple girl, so when I get a box that’s heavier than expected, it makes me so happy! I know, I know, I should value quality over quantity…but still! I appreciate it when a box feels full of stuff because it makes me feel like I got a lot back for my money!

The box is lined really well to protect the fragile item I received this month. I was impressed with the care that was put into making sure everything survived the delivery process!

ON TO THE ITEMS!

Iconic London Day to Slay Eyeshadow Palette

Size: 20 shades

RV: $62

Admittedly, I don’t own a lot of makeup (which I’m sure is about to change soon now that I’ve signed up to BoxyCharm!). So when this ginormous eyeshadow palette came, I immediately fell in love with it! With its rather neutral shades both in matte and glitters, it lives up to its “Day to Slay” name. These pigments are so wearable, even for someone like me who has always been a little afraid of putting on too much eyeshadow. (I grew up watching The Drew Carey Show, so I have a healthy fear of looking like Mimi whenever I apply eye makeup! Oh, girl!) I don’t think I have anything to fear when it comes to using this palette, though!

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads

Size: 28 pads

RV: $17

I’ve been a loyal customer of First Aid Beauty for a while. Their lotions have saved my skin through the past few winters. I’ve tried these facial radiance pads in the past, and despite their efficacy, they are my least favorite items from this brand. I’m not a fan of items like one-time use wipes or wasteful packaging, so receiving a pot of 15 wipes just doesn’t appeal to me. However, I have a friend who loves how well this works for her face, so she’ll be happy to get it!

Touch in Sol Pretty Filter Glassy Skin Balm

Size: 1.05 oz/30 g

RV: $32

I didn’t know what this was when I first received it, but I guess it’s supposed to be a primer! It’s the creamiest primer I’ve ever used! It feels really good, and my skin feels hydrated after I apply it. It also gives my skin a glow…which is unfortunate in this case because I have naturally oily skin. I already spend all day trying to keep my natural “glow” from becoming “bike reflector”-levels. This product will then, too, be gifted to someone else, but I’ll do so begrudgingly.

Alamar Cosmetics Complexion Brush Trio

Size: 3 brushes

RV: $36

Like I mentioned, I don’t own a lot of makeup, so I had no need to have a vast brush collection. I was so happy to receive not one but three brushes this month! These Alamar brushes are so cute with their rose gold handles! And brush heads are incredibly soft.

I received a bronzer brush, a complexion brush, and a brightening brush. They all apply product on my face evenly. The brushes feel well-made, so I think they’ll last me a while!

Evio Skin x Aurora Refreshing Cleansing Hemp Wipes

Size: 15 wipes

RV: $10

Again, this is another product I wasn’t too excited to get because they’re single-use wipes. I suppose they might be useful during those rare times when water isn’t immediately accessible, like if I’m on a long car ride or maybe a camping trip.

FINAL IMPRESSION

Overall, I’m really happy with this box! I received two staple items to add to my growing makeup collection, and I’m gonna have a couple of happy friends who’ll get the primer, pads, and wipes. I feel like we all win!
